The Booker T. Washington Learning Center

Founded in 1987, the mission of the Booker T. Learning Center is to break the cycle of inadequate education, poverty and despair which pervades East Harlem- El Barrio, while working to maintain a viable and hopeful community.

The After-School Center: Provides one on one tutoring for 1st thru 4th graders.

Summer Camp: An academic and recreational summer day camp for 1st thru 8th graders.

New Generations College Preparation & Retention Program: Helps high school students prepare for their college education and explore career options.

Adult Education GED Preparation Course: A prep class for adults pursuing a GED.

Y-L.E.A.D.: (Youth for Leadership, Education, Achievement and Discipline), for 5th thru 8th graders

 L.E.A.P:(Learning Enrichment Activities Program) A Saturday afternoon literacy enrichment course.
